Citadel Arts Group is a small professional theatre company with long-standing Leith connections and a strong record of working with communities.

Their latest production ‘What Women Want’, about the Scottish suffragettes, was seen at the Edinburgh Fringe this summer.

Another recent project was a tour of special schools and youth centres in Leith, which was funded by the Leith Neighbourhood Partnership.  
 
They’re currently seeking funding to produce a play about the 1560 Siege of Leith.  This is to coincide with the 450th Anniversary of the Siege next year. The aim is to involve local people in the project and perform the play as part of the Leith Festival.
