In an article published on the Guardian's website, Mark is proposing a new green jobs programme to provide an immmediate boost to employment.  Mark is advocating the creation of a modern day version of FDR's New Deal Civilian Conservation Corps which was set up in the United States in the 1930s to combat unemployment.

Mark's plan would help to tackle rising unemployment by creating new jobs in an area where investment is much needed if we are to seriously address the problem of climate change.
