   Leith Festival is back - 11th - 20th June


LEITH FESTIVAL IS BACK!

11th to the 20th of June

The Leith Festival will host 150 events at 50 venues all within a 1 mile radius in Leith. The festival will also have the traditional and successful Gala day and Parade as always, a great day out for all. The Leith Festival events include music, comedy, theatre dance and performance, film, Visual arts and Photography exhibitions, literature and the spoken word, sport events and our traditional gala day and parade.

Gala day and Parade
:

The Leith Festival Gala Day takes place on Saturday 12th June 2010 on Leith Links during the first week of the Festival. This will have an afternoon packed with events starting with the traditional Gala Day Parade from Lochend Park, down Lochend Road and onto Leith Links. The colourful and enjoyable parade will begin at 12.30pm from Lochend Park.

The afternoon will consist of a full programme of live bands, stalls selling everything from arts & crafts, bric-a-brac, antiques and food! For the youngsters pony rides, and the annual Tug-of-War competition. Also our community radio station, Leith FM on 98.8 Mhz will be doing a live show at the event!
